Baseball Wins One Award and Five Players Earn All-Conference Honors

LANCASTER, Pa.- The Atlantic East Conference released their Baseball Yealy Awards and All-Conference Teams on Wednesday afternoon. Immaculata won one award, and had five players earn all-conference honors.
 
Alex LePage (Cinnaminson, N.J. / Cinnaminson) was named AEC Co-Pitcher of the Year, and was named to the All-Atlantic East Conference First Team. LePage was 7-5, with a 3.30 ERA in 12 starts for Immaculata. He had four complete games, one shutout and in 71 innings pitched, he had 75 strikeouts. He pitched a complete game one hitter, with a season-high 12 strikeouts at Ursinus on March 22nd, and pitched a complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts vs Centenary on Apil 3rd. He earned the win vs Centenary in the AEC Tournament pitching 7.1innings allowing only two earned runs to help Immaculata reach the AEC Semifinals.
 
Will Kelley (Broomall, Pa. / Episcopal Academy) was named to the All-Atlantic East Conference First team. Kelley batted .370 with 19 runs scored, 22 RBIs, and two stolen bases. Kelley went 1-3 with a run scored, and had two RBIs in Immaculata's AEC Tournament win over Centenary on May 9th. He went 1-2 with four RBIs in the win over Penn College on April 17th.
 
Matt Passerini (Morgantown, Pa. / Twin Valley) was named to the All-Atlantic East Conference First Team. Passerini led Immaculata batting .384, with 38 runs scored, six doubles, two triples, and 20 RBIs. Passerini finished fourth in the batting in the AEC this season. He went 2-4, with two runs scored, and two RBIs in the AEC Tournament win over Centenary to help Immaculata advance to the Semifinals. He went 3-4 with two runs scored, and three RBIs in leading the Mighty Macs to an important AEC win at Marywood on April 14th.
 
Steven Theisen (Garnet Valley, Pa. / Garnet Valley) was named to the All-Atlantic East Conference Second Team. Theisen batting .350 with a team high 49 hits, with 30 runs scored, 12 doubles, two home runs, and a team leading 35 RBIs. Theisen went 3-5, with two runs scored, with a grand slam home run, and six RBIs in leading Immaculata to a win over Marywood to help keep alive in playoff contention on April 13th. He went 2-4, with two runs scored, with a double, and five RBIs in the win over Marymount on May 3rd where Immaculata clinched their playoff spot. Theisen finishes his IU career batting .322 with 182 hits, five home runs, and 121 career RBIs.
 
Sal Serici (Sewell, N.J. / Gloucester Catholic) was named to the All-Atlantic East Conference Second Team. Serici batted .331 with 24 runs scored, 11 doubles, two triples, and 25 RBIs. He had eight stolen bases. He went 3-5, with two runs scored, with a triple, and three RBIs in the win over Marymount on May 3rd when Immaculata clinched their playoff spot. Serici had three hits in a game on five occasions this season.
