On Friday, September 20, 2019 the Immaculata University community dedicated the newest Athletic Facility at Immaculata University with the Dedication of the new $1.2M Athletic Track at Draper Walsh Stadium. The Track will serve as the new home of the Immaculata University men's and women's cross country and track and field programs while also providing recreation and training opportunities to the rest of the Immaculata University community.
The track, which runs around the playing surface at Draper Walsh Stadium was completed at the end of August and features eight-lanes, a long jump and triple jump runway, a cage for hammer throw and shot put, an area for the high jump and pole vault, and a steeplechase pit. Due to its location within Draper Walsh Stadium the Track also has a 1000-seat grandstand, a concession stand, a full, working pressbox, a satellite Athletic Training facility, restrooms, and two pavilions with home, visiting, and officials locker rooms.
The Immaculata community thanks the PA Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program and alumna Cindy Mark ’79 for their contributions to making the $1.2M athletic track a reality.
