IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's volleyball team dropped its second-straight five-set match on Tuesday evening as visiting Penn State Berks won the 3-2 match opposite Immaculata inside Alumnae Hall. The Nittany Lions won the match with scores 19-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-17 and 15-12.
Immaculata started the match winning the opening set, and the Mighty Macs held a 2-1 advantage with a chance to close the match out in four. However, the Nittany Lions rallied back claiming the final two sets.

Stephanie Johler and
Andrea Okoro each recorded 11 kills to lead the team. Johler also finished with six service aces during the match.
Jamie Rombach registered a double-double with 34 assists and 13 digs.
Allison Lang collected nine kills, three blocks, four service aces and seven digs.
Brooke Schreffler led the squad making 18 digs, and
Brittany Thompson also had 12.
Penn State Berks was paced by Abby Musselman's double-double performance with 42 assists and 10 digs. Kayla Mosser added a match-leading 13 kills.
After going down 12-5 in the deciding set, Immaculata strung together four straight points to cut Penn State Berks' lead to just three (12-9). Even once the Nittany Lions set up match point at 14-9, the Mighty Macs hung around by staving off the Lions' final point with three points of their own.
Immaculata heads to its first tournament of the season on Friday afternoon taking part in the Neumann Invitational. The Mighty Macs plays Wesley in their only match on Friday, Sept. 14, at 4:30 p.m.
