IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University women's volleyball fell to Moravian University, 3-0, on Tuesday evening at Alumnae Hall. The Greyhounds won in straight sets, 25-11, 25-23, and 25-14.
With the loss, Immaculata falls to 2-11, while Moravian improves to 5-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MORAVIAN
- Moravian controlled the opening set from the start, building an early lead before taking the first set, 25-11. The Greyhounds recorded 15 kills with a .289 attack percentage in the opening frame.
- The Mighty Macs responded with a much more competitive second set. Immaculata battled throughout the frame and stayed within striking distance before Moravian secured a 25-23 victory to take a 2-0 lead.
- Moravian closed out the match in the third set, hitting .143 while holding Immaculata to a .120 attack percentage. The Greyhounds finished the match with a 25-14 third-set victory.

- Immaculata finished with 20 kills and a -.021-attack percentage.
- Moravian recorded 40 kills and hit .227 for the match.
- Immaculata finished with 44 digs, compared to 45 for Moravian.
- The Mighty Macs recorded six blocks, with Eliana Szatkowski contributing three block assists.
HISPANIC HERITAGE NIGHT
- Tuesday's match was Hispanic Heritage Night, celebrating Hispanic culture and heritage with the Mighty Macs community. A special traditional Mexican dance performance took place following the first set.

The Immaculata women's volleyball team will be back in action on Saturday, when they travel to Chestertown, Maryland, for a Tri-Match at Washington College. Immaculata will play Rutgers-Newark at 1 p.m., and they will play Washington College at 3 p.m.
