Volleyball Falls In Home Debut, 3-0

IMMACULATA, Pa.
– Immaculata University's volleyball team had its home debut spoiled on Wednesday night as the visiting Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors defeated the host Mighty Macs, 3-0, in non-conference play. Rutgers-Camden took the match with scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-19.

Immaculata (0-3) was paced by six kills from both Haley Swearer and Tamara Dabady and Dabady added three blocks to her effort. Lindsey Silvestro recorded five kills. Kathleen Haefner racked up a double-double with 17 assists and 15 digs to go along with her five kills. Allison Lang made seven digs and three blocks. Brooke Schreffler made a team-leading 16 digs.

Rutgers-Camden(5-7) was led by Morgan Halbruner's eight kills and three blocks. Stephanie Miller amassed 28 assists and Catherine Tedeja made 22 digs.

Immaculata heads to Alvernia on Saturday for a tri-match with the host Crusaders and the Delaware Valley Aggies. The first match of the day begins at 9 a.m.
