READING, Pa. – The Immaculata University volleyball team fell in its season opener to Penn State Berks, 3-0. The Nittany Lions won the match with set scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-13.

Tamara Dabady led the Mighty Macs (0-1) with nine kills and added one block while making three digs. Allison Lang had six kills and 10 digs. Kathleen Haefner had 24 assists and made nine digs. Brooke Schreffler paced the defense with 22 digs and had two kills. Lindsey Silvestro chipped in three blocks.

Penn State Berks (1-0) was led by 14 kills from Amy Shelton, and Kaitlyn Schmeck had 32 assists.

Immaculata continues on the road on Saturday heading to Misericordia for a match with the Cougars.
