In the opener, Centenary built a 3-0 heading into the top the fourth when Immaculata began to inch its way back into the game. Patrick Boulware singled to center and Andrew Dietrich walked. Both runners advanced one base after a balk was called on the Cyclones' pitcher, and then Boulware came around to score on a wild pitch.

Brandon Seibert began the inning with a double to left center, and two batters later Rick Gehman hit a RBI double down the left-field line that plated Seibert. Matt Hardy was then intentionally walked, and Centenary brought in its closer, who got the final two outs before Immaculata could do any more damage.

Hardy struck out but a passed ball on his third strike ended him up at third while News scored and Gehman, who had stolen second, ended up at third. The Mighty Macs got their second run as Boulware hit a RBI single into right field that scored Gehman.

The Cyclones put the contest away with a four-run sixth inning, doing all their damage with two outs. Immaculata hoped for magic in the seventh after TJ Warner started the inning off with a single to left, but Warner was left on base when the game ended.
