RADNOR, Pa. – Fifth-seed Immaculata University fell to top seed and defending Colonial States Athletic Conference champion Cabrini College 4-0 in Wednesday afternoon's conference field hockey semifinal at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Cavaliers (11-7) advance to host the winner of the other semifinal matchup between Gwynedd-Mercy and Keystone on Saturday in the CSAC final. Immaculata ends its season with a 6-14 record, having advanced further into the conference than in previous seasons.
Cabrini scored three goals during a 13 minute-span in the first half to lead 3-0 at the break. Lindsey Atzert, Lauren Alessi and Maura Gordon all tallied goals on feeds from Stephanie Campanaro.
Alessi scored five minutes into the second half to cap the Cavaliers' scoring.
Immaculata had limited scoring opportunities during the contest.
Mary Beth Plastek had a good look midway through the first half that Cabrini's goalkeeper was able to kick away.
Katie Becker finished with a team-leading four shots, and
Emily Hallett had two shots for a save on penalty corner opportunities.

Britt Worthington made nine saves, while Caitlin Donahue made four saves for Cabrini.
Cabrini led 17-7 in shots and Immaculata had an 8-7 edge in penalty corners.
