IMMACULATA, Pa. – It was another busy week for the Mighty Macs as Immaculata Athletics competed across four sports from September 21-27, highlighted by a five-match winning streak from women's soccer, the first victory of the season for men's soccer, and a pair of strong individual performances from field hockey and men's soccer.

Immaculata Athletics now looks ahead to another busy week featuring contests across six sports, including the start of Atlantic East Conference play for women's soccer and men's soccer.

Conference play will open this week for some of our Immaculata fall teams. Field Hockey will be the first, as they open their inaugural campaign in the United East Conference on Friday, as they visit Penn State Harrisburg. Men's and women's soccer will open their final seasons in the Atlantic East Conference on Saturday, when both teams visit Centenary.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW

⚽ Women's Soccer
Immaculata 2, Delaware Valley 1
Women's soccer opened the week with a 2-1 victory at Delaware Valley University on Monday, earning its fourth consecutive victory. Lily McGee opened the scoring in the 25th minute before Addison Yackel doubled the Mighty Macs' advantage less than a minute later. McGee's goal was assisted by Flora Hernandez and Yackel, while Emma Sobieski assisted on Yackel's goal.

Immaculata 2, DeSales 0
The Mighty Macs continued their winning streak Wednesday evening with a 2-0 shutout victory over DeSales University at Draper Walsh Stadium. Gracie Repici broke the scoreless tie in the 64th minute with her fifth goal of the season, while Flora Hernandez converted a penalty kick in the 80th minute to seal the victory. Devan Cosgrove and Addi Husenica split time in goal, with each goalkeeper recording two saves in the shutout.

The victory was Immaculata's fifth consecutive win, improving the Mighty Macs to 5-2 on the season. Immaculata is one win shy of the program record of six consecutive wins set in 2008.

Rutgers-Camden — Postponed
Saturday's scheduled contest at Rutgers-Camden was postponed. Immaculata will now return to action Wednesday against Ursinus before opening Atlantic East Conference play at Centenary on October 3.

🏑 Field Hockey
Delaware Valley 2, Immaculata 0
Field hockey opened the week with a 2-0 setback at Delaware Valley University on Wednesday. The Mighty Macs were held scoreless through the opening two quarters before Delaware Valley scored twice in the second half. Morgan Barnes led Immaculata with two shots, including one on goal, while Alexis Andrada added one shot. Mackenzie Schrack made three saves.

Arcadia 3, Immaculata 2
The Mighty Macs battled back from a three-goal deficit Saturday afternoon at Arcadia University but ultimately fell 3-2.

Arcadia scored twice in the opening quarter before adding another goal in the third to take a 3-0 lead. Immaculata answered with two goals from Alexis Andrada in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to one with 3:20 remaining.

Andrada scored at 46:40 and again at 56:51, finishing with six shots and six shots on goal. Immaculata generated seven shots in the fourth quarter and held a 5-0 advantage in shots on goal during the final period, but Arcadia held on for the victory.

Mackenzie Schrack made five saves in 30 minutes of action, while Annamae Jones recorded one save during her 30 minutes in goal.
The Mighty Macs finished the contest with nine shots and four penalty corners, while Arcadia recorded 19 shots and 11 corners.

⚽ Men's Soccer
Immaculata 1, Pitt-Greensburg 0
Men's soccer earned its first victory of the 2026 season Friday afternoon, defeating the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg 1-0 at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Anthony Fitch scored the game-winning goal in the 43rd minute, with Carlos Cano providing the assist. Fitch finished with three shots, all on goal.

Luca Greppellini delivered a standout performance in goal, recording seven saves to preserve his third career shutout. The Mighty Macs outshot Pitt-Greensburg 15-10 and held the Bobcats scoreless despite allowing seven shots on goal.

Arcadia — Rescheduled
Saturday's scheduled matchup with Arcadia University was rescheduled for Monday, September 28 at 4 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.

🏐 Women's Volleyball
Moravian 3, Immaculata 0
Women's volleyball opened the week Tuesday with a three-set setback against Moravian University at Alumnae Hall. Madi Kyle and Tara Hirschtritt each recorded seven kills, while Angelica Santini Bulerin contributed 10 assists and Adriana Ventura recorded 15 digs.

Washington College 3, Immaculata 1
The Mighty Macs closed the week Saturday with a 3-1 loss to Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Immaculata won the second set 25-23 after Washington claimed the opening set 25-13, but the Shorewomen secured the final two sets 25-18 and 25-15.
Madi Kyle led Immaculata with 10 kills, while Tara Hirschtritt posted 14 assists and two aces. Adriana Ventura anchored the defense with 20 digs, while Lauren Gartman added 11 digs.

The originally scheduled tri-match was reduced to a single match, with the Rutgers-Newark contest canceled.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS

⚽ Gracie Repici — Women's Soccer
Repici scored the opening goal in Wednesday's 2-0 victory over DeSales, giving her five goals on the season and helping the Mighty Macs extend their winning streak to five matches.

🏑 Alexis Andrada — Field Hockey
Andrada scored both of Immaculata's goals in Saturday's 3-2 setback at Arcadia. She finished with six shots, all on goal, and scored twice in the fourth quarter to bring the Mighty Macs within one.

🏐 Madi Kyle — Women's Volleyball
Kyle led Immaculata offensively in Saturday's match at Washington College with 10 kills. She also added seven digs.

⚽ Luca Greppellini — Men's Soccer
Greppellini made seven saves in Friday's 1-0 victory over Pitt-Greensburg, earning his third career shutout and helping the Mighty Macs secure their first win of the season.

MIGHTY MAC OF THE WEEK

⚽ Luca Greppellini — Men's Soccer

Luca Greppellini delivered a standout performance in goal to lead Immaculata University to a 1-0 victory over previously undefeated University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on September 25. Greppellini recorded seven saves, including several key stops throughout the second half, to preserve his third career clean sheet and secure Immaculata's first victory of the 2026 season.

Greppellini's seven saves marked his second seven-save performance of the season, and his shutout helped the Mighty Macs hold Pitt-Greensburg scoreless for the first time this season.

The Mighty Macs return to action Monday, September 28, when they host Arcadia University at Draper Walsh Stadium at 4 p.m.
