IMMACULATA, Pa. – The fall season continues to pick up steam for Immaculata University Athletics as the Mighty Macs prepare for another busy week of competition. Four fall programs will combine for 10 contests from Tuesday through Saturday, including four games on Saturday.
Immaculata enters the week following another busy stretch that featured competition in field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, and women's volleyball.
 
THE WEEK AHEAD
 
Tuesday, September 15
 
🏐 Women's Volleyball vs. Arcadia University
6 p.m. | Alumnae Hall
 
Women's volleyball opens the week at home when the Mighty Macs welcome Arcadia University to Alumnae Hall for a 6 p.m. non-conference match. Immaculata enters the week at 2-6 after competing in the York College tri-match on Saturday.
 
Wednesday, September 16
 
🏑 Field Hockey vs. Bryn Mawr College
6 p.m. | Draper Walsh Stadium
 
Field hockey returns home for a 6 p.m. matchup with Bryn Mawr College at Draper Walsh Stadium. The Mighty Macs will look to bounce back from last week's setback to Eastern after opening the season with consecutive victories over FDU-Florham and King's.
 
⚽ Men's Soccer at Alvernia University
7 p.m. | Reading, Pa.
 
Men's soccer begins a stretch of three road games in its next four contests when the Mighty Macs travel to Alvernia University for a 7 p.m. matchup. 
 
⚽ Women's Soccer at Widener University
7 p.m. | Chester, Pa.
 
Women's soccer continues its five-match road swing Wednesday evening when the Mighty Macs travel to Widener University for a 7 p.m. contest. Immaculata will look to carry the momentum from its recent road victory into another non-conference matchup.
 
Saturday, September 19
 
🏑 Field Hockey at Lebanon Valley College
1 p.m. | Annville, Pa.
 
Field hockey hits the road for a 1 p.m. matchup at Lebanon Valley College. The contest begins a stretch of road games for the Mighty Macs before returning to Draper Walsh Stadium later in the month.
 
⚽ Men's Soccer at Susquehanna University
1 p.m. | Selinsgrove, Pa.
 
Men's soccer remains on the road Saturday afternoon when Immaculata visits Susquehanna University for a 1 p.m. contest. The matchup is the second of two road games for the Mighty Macs during the week.
 
🏐 Women's Volleyball vs. Cedar Crest College
1 p.m. | Ursinus Tri-Match | Collegeville, Pa.
 
Women's volleyball travels to Ursinus College for a tri-match Saturday, beginning with a 1 p.m. matchup against Cedar Crest College.
 
🏐 Women's Volleyball at Ursinus College
3 p.m. | Ursinus Tri-Match | Collegeville, Pa.
 
The Mighty Macs will close out the tri-match at 3 p.m. against host Ursinus College. The two matches give Immaculata four volleyball contests during the week.
 
⚽ Women's Soccer at Cedar Crest College
11 a.m. | Allentown, Pa.
 
Women's soccer gets an early start Saturday morning when the Mighty Macs travel to Cedar Crest College for an 11 a.m. matchup. The contest is the second of two road games for Immaculata during the week.
 
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
 
The Mighty Macs continued a busy start to the 2026-27 season with 11 contests across five fall programs from September 7-12, including a full slate of action on Saturday.
 
Field Hockey
 
Eastern 4, Immaculata 1 — The Mighty Macs battled Eastern through two scoreless quarters before the Eagles pulled away with three goals in the third quarter. Maria Freeman scored Immaculata's lone goal, while Mackenzie Schrack made nine saves and recorded her 100th career save.
 
Marywood 3, Immaculata 2 — Immaculata closed the week with a 3-2 setback against Marywood at Draper Walsh Stadium. Maria Berenato and Morgan Barnes scored goals, and Schrack made eight saves.
 
Men's Soccer
Neumann 6, Immaculata 1 — The Mighty Macs dropped a 6-1 decision to Neumann Wednesday at Draper Walsh Stadium. Michael Prall scored Immaculata's goal off an assist from freshman Joseph Goodman, marking Goodman's first collegiate point.
 
Goucher 3, Immaculata 0 — Immaculata traveled to Baltimore Saturday afternoon for a non-conference matchup with Goucher. Milan Kosiba scored his first collegiate goal on a penalty kick.
 
Women's Soccer
 
Lebanon Valley 3, Immaculata 1 — Immaculata fell to Lebanon Valley on Tuesday afternoon. Liz Anderson scored the Mighty Macs' first goal of the contest, with Natalene Clemson recording the assist.
 
Immaculata 4, Notre Dame (Md.) 1 — The Mighty Macs earned their first victory of the season Saturday in Baltimore, rolling past Notre Dame of Maryland, 4-1. Addison Yackel, Marissa Sozzi (first collegiate goal), Heather Russell, and Gracie Repici all scored goals for the Mighty Macs.
 
Women's Volleyball
 
Neumann 3, Immaculata 0 — The Mighty Macs opened the week with a three-set setback against Neumann in their Alumnae Hall home opener. Madi Kyle and Tara Hirschtritt each recorded four kills to lead Immaculata offensively, while Angelica Santini Bulerin finished with nine assists and Adriana Ventura added 10 digs.
 
Penn State Abington 3, Immaculata 2 — Immaculata battled Penn State Abington through five sets Thursday night at Alumnae Hall before falling 3-2. Kyle led the Mighty Macs with 10 kills and 11 digs, while Hirschtritt narrowly missed a triple-double with eight kills, 17 assists and 12 digs. Ventura anchored the defense with 30 digs, while Antonia Antolini added eight kills. Eliana Szatkowski contributed four service aces and three blocks.
 
York 3, Immaculata 0 — The Mighty Macs opened Saturday's York tri-match with a three-set loss to the host Spartans. Kyle and Hirschtritt paced the attack with seven kills apiece, Santini Bulerin recorded 14 assists, Szatkowski added five assisted blocks, and Ventura led the back row with 11 digs.
 
FDU-Florham 3, Immaculata 0 — Immaculata closed the week with a three-set setback against FDU-Florham. Madi Kyle led the Mighty Macs with 12 kills, while Adriana Ventura finished with a team-high 24 digs.
 
Men's Cross Country
 
Philadelphia Cross Classic — 4th Place — Immaculata finished fourth as a team at Saturday's Philadelphia Cross Classic at Belmont Plateau. Declan McGorry finished 17th overall and second among Division III runners in his second collegiate race.
 
Women's Cross Country
 
Philadelphia Cross Classic — 3rd Place — The Mighty Macs placed third as a team at the Philadelphia Cross Classic. Aubrey Donahue finished third overall and was the top Division III runner in the field.
 
MIGHTY MAC OF THE WEEK – DECLAN MCGORRY
 
Declan McGorry of the Immaculata Men's Cross-Country team is this week's Mighty Mac of the Week!

Running in just his second collegiate race, McGorry delivered an impressive performance at the Philadelphia Cross Classic at Belmont Plateau, placing 17th overall with a time of 31:10.43.

Competing in a field consisting primarily of Division II runners, McGorry finished as the second Division III runner across the line. His impressive performance helped lead the Mighty Macs to a fourth-place team finish.
