WHAT TO KNOW

The Immaculata University field hockey team (2-0) returns home Wednesday afternoon to host Eastern University at 4 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
The Mighty Macs opened the 2026 season with a pair of victories, rallying for a 2-1 double-overtime victory over FDU-Florham before earning a convincing 3-0 shutout win at King's College on Saturday.
Eastern also enters Wednesday's contest unbeaten, having defeated Moravian 3-2, and Gwynedd Mercy 8-0 on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY

Wednesday's contest marks the 10^th meeting between Immaculata and Eastern.
The Eagles have won the nine previous meetings.

LAST MEETING

Immaculata fell to Eastern 4-1 in their last meeting on September 2, 2025, at Eastern.
Alexis Andrada scored the only goal for the Mighty Macs.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES

Immaculata enters Wednesday's game with a perfect 2-0 record, marking its first 2-0 start since the 2021 season.
Morgan Barnes has provided an immediate offensive spark to open the season, scoring twice on six shots, with all six of her attempts finding the cage. Barnes was named the first Mighty Mac of the Week of the season for her performance this week.
Alexis Andrada has also scored in each of Immaculata's first two games. Her overtime goal against FDU-Florham gave the Mighty Macs their first win of the season, while her goal at King's brought her career point total to 50.
Gigi Fox scored her first goal of the season in the third quarter against King's, joining Barnes and Andrada in the scoring column.
Mackenzie Schrack has anchored the Mighty Macs in goal, making three saves in Saturday's shutout and recording the fourth shutout of her career.
Maria Freeman has also been a key contributor defensively and on penalty corners, helping Immaculata control possession and generate offensive opportunities.
Immaculata got strong performances on Saturday from Maria Berenato, Sydney Saxton, Olivia DiBona, Alexa Marczak, Kayla Ledbetter, Taylor Eagan, and Bailee Neitz.
Immaculata is averaging 12.5 shots per game and has gotten 21-25 shots on goal.
Immaculata has generated 13 penalty corners through two games.

SCOUTING EASTERN

Eastern University enters Wednesday's contest looking to remain unbeaten early in the 2026 season.
The Eagles have been particularly dangerous offensively through two games, scoring 11 goals on 50 shots while putting 27 shots on goal. Eastern has also generated 25 penalty corners through its first two contests.
Senior Karlee Howard headlines the early-season attack. Howard recorded a hat trick against Gwynedd Mercy and enters Wednesday's game with three goals.
Junior CJ Summa is another key offensive threat for the Eagles. Summa scored 10 goals with two assists for a team-high 22 points in 2025.
First-year Lydia Ehst has made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut season. Ehst scored the game-winning goal in Eastern's 3-2 season-opening victory over Moravian and added another goal against Gwynedd Mercy
Eastern has received strong play in goal from junior Angelina Catania, who made four saves in the season-opening win over Moravian. Catania shared the shutout against Gwynedd Mercy with Christina Unger, who made one save, as the Eagles limited Gwynedd Mercy to just one shot on goal.
