WHAT TO KNOW

• The Immaculata baseball team (15-22, 10-8 AEC) enters the Atlantic East Conference Tournament as the third seed and will play the second seed Marymount in the first round of the double-elimination tournament on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
• Immaculata enters the AEC Tournament after being swept in their final AEC series by the number one seed, Centenary.
• Marymount (24-16, 11-7 AEC) enters the tournament as the second seed and will host their first-round game.
• All Tournament games will be hosted at Our Diamond of Dreams on the campus of Centenary in Hackettstown, N.J.

• Wednesday marks the 16^th meeting between Immaculata and Marymount.
• Immaculata is 11-14 all-time vs Marymount.

POST SEASON MEETINGS 

• Marymount defeated Immaculata 4-0 on May 7, 2025, in the AEC Tournament First Round at Capital One Park.
• Immaculata defeated Marymount 9-0 on May 10, 2024, in the AEC Tournament at Winchester, Va. 
• In the 2022 AEC Tournament at Immaculata, the Mighty Macs defeated Marymount 5-1 on May 13, 2022, to win their first AEC Championship. Immaculata also defeated Marymount 2-1 on May 11, 2022, earlier in the Tournament. 
• Marymount defeated Immaculata 10-5 in the Finals of the AEC Tournament in Washington, D.C. to win their Atlantic East Conference Championship.

• Nick Turnage has been the tone-setter at the top of the lineup, hitting .385 with a .464 OBP and consistently finding ways to get on base while driving in 29 runs.
• Hunter Weitzel has made the most of his opportunities, posting a team-best .429 average and .500 slugging percentage, showing advanced bat-to-ball skills in limited action.
• Luke Hardnock combines contact and discipline at a high level, hitting .400 with a team-leading .511 OBP, making him one of the toughest outs in the lineup.
• Danny Nocito provides power and speed, batting .333 with 3 home runs and 9 stolen bases, giving the offense a dynamic middle-of-the-order presence.
• Matt Passerini anchors the defense while contributing offensively with a .303 average and 23 RBI, serving as a steady, reliable presence on both sides.

SCOUTING THE AEC TOURNAMENT OPPONENTS 

• Marymount enters the postseason at 24–16 as one of the more dangerous offensive teams in the field, powered by a .330 team average and a lineup featuring consistent run producers like Quincy Via and Francis Swekosky. The Saints have been especially tough at home and bring momentum from a strong late-season stretch, but their playoff success will hinge on pitching consistency behind ace Ben Smallwood. If the staff can limit runs and support an explosive offense, Marymount has the firepower to make a deep postseason run.
• Centenary enters the postseason at 17–22 but carries real momentum with a three-game winning streak and a strong 12–6 conference mark. Despite an up-and-down overall record and struggles away from home, the Cyclones feature a productive lineup led by Joseph Frei and Dominick Chiego, capable of putting pressure on opposing pitching. The biggest question remains run prevention, as a 6.65 team ERA has led to inconsistency, but if the pitching staff can stabilize, Centenary's balanced offense and late-season confidence make them a tougher playoff opponent than their record suggests.
• Marywood enters the postseason at 25–15 as one of the more complete teams in the field, combining a potent .322 team batting average with a balanced pitching staff posting a 5.04 ERA. The Pacers have been strong both at home and on the road and carry momentum into the playoffs, led offensively by Joel Ayers and Cam Bott, while a deep pitching rotation anchored by Danny Tiedemann and Isaac Galarza provides stability. With consistent run production and reliable arms, Marywood profiles as a well-rounded contender capable of making a deep postseason push.
