Baseball Opens Three Game AEC Series at Marywood this Afternoon

WHAT TO KNOW
  • Immaculata (13-17, 8-4 AEC) opens its three-game AEC series today when they visit Marywood for a 3:30 p.m. game. The teams will be at the IU Baseball Stadium for a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
  • The series was moved up a day due to expected inclement weather for Saturday.
  • Immaculata enters today's game after falling at #5 Rowan on Tuesday in a midweek non-conference game, 14-4.
  • Marywood (22-12, 7-5 AEC) enters today's game after defeating King's College 8-7 on Tuesday in a non-conference game.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Nick Turnage is hitting .411 with a team-best .496 on-base percentage. He is a tough out who combines contact and discipline, and when he is on base, he sets the tone for everything Immaculata wants to do offensively. Reliable defensively as well, he has been one of the most consistent performers all season.
  • Danny Nocito is batting .364 with 9 doubles and 3 home runs. He is tied for the team lead in RBIs and has shown the ability to deliver in big spots. A middle-of-the-order presence who can change a game with one swing.
  • JT Luther is hitting .338 and has a team-high .500 on-base percentage. He has drawn 21 walks to just 12 strikeouts and has produced 25 hits in 74 at-bats, adding 15 RBIs and 21 runs scored.

  • Robert Woodward hitting .377 with a team-leading .623 slugging percentage. He racked up 23 hits, including 10 doubles and a home run, while driving in 22 RBIs.
  • Joey Mazzone is hitting .395 with a .477 on-base percentage. He has collected 15 hits in 38 at-bats and scored 15 runs, providing a spark when he is in the lineup.
