IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata women's basketball head coach
Brittany Whalen has announced her team's 2025-26 schedule.
"We're excited to announce our 2025-26 schedule and the opportunities it presents for our program," Whalen said. "This slate will challenge us, showcase our team's growth, and give our athletes a platform to compete against strong competition. We have a mix of youth and experienced returners who will work well cohesively. We're ready to get started!"
The Mighty Macs' 2024-25 season was one of the most memorable in team history, as they went 22-4 (10-0 AEC). They won the Atlantic East Conference title over Neumann on March 1. However, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Immaculata's season ended at Ohio Wesleyan.
Immaculata's title defense begins on Saturday, Nov. 8 with Moravian visiting Alumnae Hall. Right before Thanksgiving, the team will head to Salisbury, Md. for the Governor's Challenge Tournament. They will face Kean and either Salisbury or Lehman.
December is stuffed with either MAC Commonwealth or MAC Freedom opponents, starting with a road trip to Alvernia on Dec. 1. Alvernia, Widener, and Albright make up Immaculata's MAC Commonwealth opponents, while Misericordia and Delaware Valley make up the Freedom.
A quick stop at Haverford opens the new year before the Mighty Macs enter conference play. Three of their first four AEC games, which starts with Neumann, are outside of Alumnae Hall. Immaculata plays Saint Elizabeth for the first time on Jan. 14. Not only have the Mighty Macs and the Eagles never played before in women's basketball, but this will mark the opening matchup between the two as conference opponents. Immaculata sees Marymount, Pratt, and Neumann at home as the month draws to a close.
A home game with Saint Elizabeth brings February into focus. The Mighty Macs head to Gwynedd Mercy before their final two home games of the regular season versus Marywood and Centenary (N.J.). Immaculata heads to Pratt as final preparation for the conference playoffs.
AEC Championships will be held from Feb. 23-28.
