PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors (Philly-SIDA) announced their 2024-25 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Women's Basketball Team on Tuesday afternoon, and Immaculata Senior
Reese Mullins (Hockessin, DE / Tower Hill) was named to the five-member team.
The team is selected through nominations and voting by the sports information offices from 30 institutions in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. To be eligible for Academic All-Area honors, athletes must be at least in their second year with their program and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better.
Mullins was named the 2024-25 Atlantic East Conference Player of the Year, and the All-Atlantic East Conference First Team. Mullins finished third scoring in the Atlantic East Conference averaging 15.4 points per game. Mullins scored 392 points this season, with 192 rebounds, 51 assists, 11 blocked shots, and 43 steals. Mullins scored her 1000
th career point on January 3
rd vs Misericordia, and her 500
th career rebound on February 5
th vs Neumann. Mullins was named to D3Hoops.com All-Region 5 Second Team.
Mullins helped lead the Immaculata Women's Basketball team in an historic season going 22-4, 12-0 in Atlantic East Conference regular season and tournament play, 14-0 at Alumnae Hall and captured their second Atlantic East Conference Championship defeating Neumann 63-46 extending their winning streak to 15 games. Immaculata's season would end with an NCAA Tournament loss to No. 16/18 Ohio Wesleyan.
