Immaculata Softball Earns 2024-25 AEC Sportsmanship Team of the Year Award

Haddonfield. N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Sportsmanship Team of the Year award on Tuesday, an award voted on by the athletic directors of the league institutions, naming Immaculata University's Softball team the winner.

The Sportsmanship Team of the Year award is given to a team that positively affected the game environment and exhibited acts and/or behaviors based on values, respect, and integrity.

Immaculata Softball finished third in the regular season and advanced to championship Saturday with an undefeated start to the conference tournament.

The Mighty Macs would go on to finish as the Atlantic East conference runner up with a breakout season. Immaculata was picked tied for the fifth and final spot in the preseason poll, but went on to defy the odds.

Throughout the year the team participated in a variety of community service projects. The Mighty Macs earned the 2025 IU Macspy award for community service which throughout the year included the NEDA Walk to raise awareness for eating disorders.

This year Immaculata coaching staff were honored as coaching staff of the year as voted on by the coaching across the conference. The Mighty Macs' Lily Hagan also was named the Elite 20 winner given to the student athlete with the highest GPA at each of the Atlantic East Championship final sites. First team honors went to Bryele Anthony, Jess Oldham, and Rylee Martin, while Maddy Formica, Allison Hill, Carlee Karcher, Steph Kelly, and Riece Onorato earned second team recognition.

Each year we recognize a team for their work off the playing field with this award. Immaculata softball encompasses the sportsmanship and off field work that the conference strives for.
