HEAD COACH JOE TRAINER ON THE ATLANTIC EAST CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
Â
"We are 5-2 in the last 7 games," stated Head Coach
Joe Trainer. "Our team is confident heading into the postseason."
Â
Immaculata will face a challenging task in the Semifinals playing a Marymount team that has yet to lose in AEC competition in women's flag football. Marymount went 12-0 in the AEC regular season and won both games last April in the inaugural Atlantic East Conference Tournament.
Â
"We don't have to play perfect to beat Marymount, but we do have to play well," continued Trainer. "We are at our best as a team when we are having fun and playing loose. Our goal is to keep it close until the fourth quarter and the pressure falls on them (as the favorite). We must win the turnover margin!"
Â
"Coach Bill (Assistant Coach
Bill Coddington) and I have had a blast coaching this team," concluded Trainer. "We have tremendous chemistry and our team really likes one another. Our senior leadership has been outstanding!"
