Paul Murphy Director of Athletics and Recreation at Immaculata University announced Bill Coddington as the new Women’s Flag Football Head Coach.

Coddington is no stranger to the Immaculata Flag Football team, having served as Assistant Coach for the Mighty Macs during their inaugural season in 2025 under previous Head Coach Joe Trainer. Coddington helped lead Immaculata to 6-8 overall record, and they were 5-5 in Atlantic East Conference Regular Season play. Immaculata went 5-2 in their final seven AEC games to earn the fourth seed in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament.

“We are excited to have Bill leading our women’s flag football program,” said Paul Murphy. “His knowledge and experience in the sport aided the success of our program and we look forward to years of success with Bill at the helm of this quickly growing sport.”

Coddington started the Girls Flag Football program at Souderton Area High School and was Souderton's Head Coach the past two seasons. Coddington previously served as an assistant coach on three Suburban One Championship Football Teams at North Penn High School. Coddington was also an assistant coach at Souderton for basketball, football, track, and field. He was inducted into the North Penn / Souderton joint Hall of Fame as an athlete and coach in 2006.

“I'm very grateful and excited for the opportunity to continue coaching flag football as the head coach at Immaculata,” stated Coddington. “It is a special place with a special group of athletes. Atlantic East Flag Football is extremely competitive. We had a successful run last year in qualifying for the playoffs. We have lost some key players to graduation, but we have talented returnees and a group of incoming players that are looking to jump right in. We are all ready to get back to work to keep building Immaculata Flag Football.”

Coddington was a three-sport athlete in high school at North Penn, lettering in football, basketball, and track and field earning All Bux-Mont Honors in all three sports. He played football collegiately at the College of Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
