Women's Lacrosse Travels to Marywood on Friday for an AEC Game

THE STORYLINE 

  • The Immaculata women's lacrosse team (2-12, 0-2 AEC) is back in action on Friday when they travel to play an AEC game at Marywood. 

  • Immaculata enters Friday's game after falling to Gwynedd Mercy at home on Wednesday evening. 

  • Marywood (7-6, 1-1 AEC) enters Friday's game after defeating Centenary 25-1 on Wednesday in Hackettstown, N.J. 

SERIES HISTORY 

  • Immaculata and Marywood are meeting for the 20th time in their series that began in 2008. 

  • Immaculata is 3-16 all-time vs Marywood. 

LAST MEETING 

  • Immaculata fell to Marywood 20-16 at Draper Walsh Stadium in their last meeting on April 24, 2024.

  • Jacki Murray broke the IU program record for career draw controls on Wednesday with her 310th draw control in the first quarter. Murray scored four goals in the game, and leads Immaculata with 43 goals, six assists for 49 points. She has 49 ground balls, 16 CTO's and 51 draw controls.  

  • Ava Hoffman registered her fourth hat-trick of the season with three goals on Wednesday. Hoffman has 18 goals, four assists, and 22 points. She has 38 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers, and 24 draw controls. 

  • Kelsey Caldarelli had an assist on Wednesday, and added four ground balls, and six caused turnovers for Immaculata. Caldarelli has seven goals, five assists for 12 points. She has 45 ground balls, has a team high 30 caused turnovers, and 16 draw controls. 

  • Alexa Marczak scored her ninth goal of the season on Wednesday. She has nine goals, two assists, for 11 points.

  • Addison Yackel had six ground balls, two caused turnovers, and had three draw controls on Wednesday. She has three goals and two assists for five points. She has a team high of 55 ground balls, has 25 caused turnovers, and 20 draw controls. 

  • Goalkeeper Abigail Guarneri made 140 saves on 480 shots faced. She leads the Atlantic East Conference in saves and currently ranks 6th in the nation at Division III in saves. 

SCOUTING MARYWOOD 

  • Junior midfielder Kaitlyn Smith leads the Pacers with 38 goals, 22 assists for 60 points.  

  • Junior midfielder Avery Meighan has 34 goals, with 26 assists for 60 points. 

  • Junior attacker Natalie Yilanjian has 31 goals, with six assists for 37 points.  

  • Freshman goalkeeper Jenny Keagy has made 51 saves on 167 shots faced and is 4-2 this season. 

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Jenna Scala has made 43 saves on 143 shots faced and is 2-4 this season. 

  • As a team Marywood averages 31.8 shots per game and their opponents 24.8. 

  • As a team Marywood has 216 draw controls and their opponents have 144.
