Men's Lacrosse Visits King's College for Saturday Afternoon Game

THE STORYLINE 

  • The Immaculata men's lacrosse team (4-5, 0-0 AEC) team is back on Saturday when they travel to Wilkes-Barre to play at King's College. 

  • Immaculata enters Saturday's game after defeating Manhattanville 12-8 last Sunday in the consolation game of the Leanos Cup Tournament. 

  • King's College (0-6) enters Saturday's game after falling to Lycoming 16-15 on Wednesday evening. 

SERIES HISTORY 

  • Immaculata and King's are meeting for the eighth time in their series that began back in 2008. 

  • Immaculata is 1-6 all-time vs King's. 

LAST MEETING 

  • Immaculata defeated King's College 7-6 in overtime in their last meeting on March 22 at Draper Walsh Stadium.  

  • David Azzarano scored the game winning goal at 0:41 of the first overtime period. 

MIGHTY MAC NOTES 

  • David Azzarano leads Immaculata with 40 points, scoring 16 goals with 24 assists. Azzarano who became the program's all-time leading scorer in last Friday's game with Drew, has a team-high 26 ground balls, and has 10 caused turnovers. 

  • Bailey Manion leads Immaculata with 20 goals, he has 14 assists and 34 points. Manion has collected nine ground balls and has six caused turnovers. 

  • Ryan Gorman scored 15 goals and had four assists for 19 points. 

  • Joseph Biuso scored 16 goals and had two assists for 18 points. 

  • Aidan Lawrence leads the defensive core with 25 ground balls, and a team-high 17 caused turnovers. 

  • Goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow made 121 saves on 308 shots faced. Ludlow had 57 saves over three games last week for the Mighty Macs. 

SCOUTING KING'S COLLEGE 

  • Senior attacker John Wall leads King's offense with 13 goals, seven assists and 20 points. 

  • Junior attacker Ryan Lynch has scored five goals and has seven assists. 

  • Senior attacker Jake cierich has nine goals and one assists for 10 points. 

  • Junior goalkeeper Ryan Rickards made 66 saves on 239 shots face.  

  • As a team, King's averages 38.8 shots per game and their opponents 34.5.

  • The Immaculata men' lacrosse team will be back in action on Monday, March 24 when they will visit Rosemont College for a 4:00 p.m. game.
