Baseball Hosts Penn State Abington for Home Opener at the IU Baseball Stadium on Tuesday

THE STORYLINE 

  • The Immaculata baseball team (2-11) returns to the IU Baseball Stadium for their 2025 home opener on Tuesday when they host Penn State Abington at 3:30 p.m. 

  • Immaculata enters Tuesday after winning their final game in RussMatt Invitational on Saturday, defeating Ohio Northern 4-0. 

  • Penn State Abington enters Tuesday's game after earning a doubleheader split on Friday vs St. Joseph's of Maine in the RussMatt Invitational winning the first game 7-4, before falling in game two 10-1.

  • Immaculata and Penn State Abington are meeting for the ninth time in their series that began in 2010.

  • Senior outfielder Gaetan Grandelli is hitting .349 (15-43) with 18 runs scored, one home run and 12 RBIs. 

  • Sophomore outfielder Donato Incollingo is hitting .289 (13-45) with three homers, and nine RBIs. 

  • Senior pitcher Owen Lynch is 2-0 in four starts, pitching 21.2 innings, with a 4.98 ERA, allowing 30 hits, 12 earned runs. He has 13 strikeouts. 

  • James Torpey is 1-1, with a 2.05 ERA. He has allowed 18 hits, and five earned runs in 22 innings pitched.
