Women's Lacrosse Visits Elizabethtown on Thursday Evening

THE STORYLINE 

  • The Immaculata women's lacrosse team (1-4, 0-0 AEC) will be back in action on Thursday when they visit Elizabethtown College on Thursday evening. 
  • Immaculata enters Thursday's game after falling to Washington and Jefferson at Draper Walsh Stadium on Monday. 
  • Elizabethtown (4-1) enters Thursday's game after defeating Wilson College 24-2 on Monday evening at Shippensburg University. 
  • Elizabethtown is a Landmark Conference school, so the game will be streamed on Flo Sports College which requires a fee to watch.  

SERIES HISTORY 

  • Immaculata and Elizabethtown are meeting for the seventh time in their series that began in 2016.  
  • Immaculata is 1-5 all-time vs Elizabethtown. 


LAST MEETING 

  • Immaculata defeated Elizabethtown 22-15 in their last meeting on March 2, 2024, at Draper Walsh Stadium.  
  • Jacki Murray scored seven goals; Tessa Liberatoscioli scored six goals and three assists, and Liza Laxton had four goals and three assists to lead the Mighty Macs.

  • Ava Hoffman has scored eight goals, with an assist, and nine points. Hoffman has 25 ground balls, has six caused turnovers, and 11 draw controls. Hoffman has scored in four out of five games this season. 
  • Kelsey Caldarelli has three goals and four assists for seven points. She has scooped 22 ground balls and has a team-high 16 caused turnovers. 
  • Carly Oberg has scored three goals and has three assists. She has collected 12 ground balls, had two caused turnovers and had one draw control.

SCOUTING ELIZABETHTOWN 

  • Freshman midfielder Ella Scholes leads Elizabethtown with 16 goals, seven assists and 23 points. 
  • Sophomore attacker Abby Bach has nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points.  
  • Senior attacker Madison Henley has 10 goals and six assists for 16 points. 
  • Senior goalkeeper Rachel Murphy has made 57 saves on 122 shots faced. 
  • Junior midfielder Drew Bridges has 15 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and 12 draw controls.  
  • As a team the Blue Jays are averaging 34 shots per game, and their opponents are averaging 24.4. 


WEEKLY HONORS 

  • Ava Hoffman was named to the Atlantic East Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Hoffman had two goals, nine ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls in Immaculata's two games. Hoffman had a goal, seven ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls in Immaculata's game vs Widener on March 5th. She had a goal, with two groundballs, and a caused turnover vs Arcadia on March 7th. Hoffman had scored in the first four games of the season for Immaculata. 


CHASING HISTORY 

  • Jacki Murray enters Thursday's game with 199 career goals. She is on the verge of becoming just the second player in program history to reach 200 career goals. Layne Kennedy is the program's all-time leading scorer with 215 career goals.
