The Atlantic East Conference office announced its Weekly Basketball Awards on Monday afternoon, and Immaculata's Carly Coleman (Springfield, Pa. / Cardinal O'Hara) has been selected as the Defensive Player of the Week after a dominant three-game stretch showcasing her impact on both ends of the court.
Coleman amassed 57 points, 36 rebounds, 15 assists, and 12 steals over the trio of contests for the Mighty Macs. She opened the week with a strong effort against Arcadia on November 19, posting 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
At the Governor's Challenge Tournament in Salisbury, Md., Coleman elevated her performance even further, recording consecutive double-doubles. In Saturday night's victory over Kean, she registered 16 points and a career-best 17 rebounds, along with seven assists and six steals in an all-around standout showing.
She concluded the tournament with a career-high 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and three steals in the championship matchup against Salisbury. In the final minute, Coleman delivered in the clutch—burying a pair of free throws and a key jumper to tie the game twice.
