Men's Cross Country is Ready to Compete in the Atlantic East Conference Championships on Saturday

WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata University men's cross-country team is set to compete in the 2025 Atlantic East Conference Championships on Saturday in Milton, N.Y.
  • This marks the second consecutive year the conference meet will be held at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y.
 
PRE-CHAMPIONSHIP POLL
  • Marywood is the favorite to win the team championship with 49 points and seven first-place votes. Marymount is second with 40 points, and the remaining first-place vote. Immaculata was third with 35 points. Gwynedd Mercy was fourth with 26 points, Neumann was fifth with 24 points, and Pratt is sixth with 22 points. Centenary and Saint Elizabeth round out the poll in seventh and eighth, with 19 and eight points, respectively.
  • The Mighty Macs, who finished third in 2024, will look to build on strong performances throughout the season.
 
LAST OUTING AT THE ROWAN BORDER BATTLE
  • The Immaculata men's cross-country team finished 35th overall at the Rowan Border Battle on October 18.
  • Connor Kakowski led Immaculata finishing 269th overall with a time of 29:08.6, just 1.6 seconds off his personal best.
 
MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Connor Kakowski has led the Immaculata team in recent events. He finished with a time of 29:08.6 in the Rowan Border Battle.
  • Samuel Domencic may return in the AEC Championships. Domencic finished 13th overall in his last race at the Philadelphia Cross Classic with 30:29.4.
  • Jimmy Lauer finished the Rowan Border Battle with a personal best time of 31:29.4.
  • Chris Watson finished the Rowan Border Battle with a time of 32:20.5.
  • Nick Heinlein turned in a personal best time of 34:52.3 at the Rowan Border Battle.
  • Jason Canterino finished the Rowan Border Battle with a time of 34:58.0.
  • Luca Patrone finished the Rowan Border Battle with a personal best time of 35:24.5.
  • Alexander Wilson finished the Rowan Border Battle with a time of 38:00.0.
  • Kendall Budlow finished the Rowan Border Battle with a personal best time of 40:18.3.
  • Yerlin Ortiz finished the Rowan Border Battle with a personal best time of 42:07.2.

The Immaculata men's cross-country team will return to competition on Saturday, November 15, for the NCAA Division III Metro Regional Championships, hosted by Rowan University at Dream Park in Logan Township, N.J.
