2025: Competed in six cross country meets during the 2025 season. He earned a 14th-place finish at the Atlantic East Cross Country Championships in the 8K with a time of 32:00.0 and placed 131st at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championships with a time of 30:19.0. Lauer also finished 37th at the Highlander Invitational (33:20.4), 39th at the Philadelphia Cross Classic (34:42.9), and 36th at the Bryn Mawr Invitational 5K (19:06.6), while recording an 8K time of 31:29.4 at the Interregional Border Battle.
2024: Competed in two meets, placing 274th at the Interregional Border Battle with an 8K time of 35:50.5 and finishing 34th at the Bryn Mawr Invitational 5K in 21:40.7.
