2025: Competed in six cross country meets during the 2025 season. He earned a ninth-place finish at the Atlantic East Cross Country Championships in the 8K with a time of 30:04.1 and finished 115th at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championships with a time of 29:09.4. Kakowski also placed 23rd at the Highlander Invitational (32:03.5), 24th at the Philadelphia Cross Classic (32:11.4), and 20th at the Bryn Mawr Invitational 5K (17:49.7), while recording an 8K time of 29:08.6 at the Interregional Border Battle.
2024: Competed in five meets, highlighted by a 16th-place finish at the Atlantic East Cross Country Championships with an 8K time of 30:23.2.
