HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced its Weekly Awards on Monday, recognizing four standout performances from Immaculata University student-athletes across field hockey and women's volleyball.
Mackenzie Schrack (Red Lion, Pa. / Red Lion) was named Atlantic East Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The freshman goalkeeper totaled 16 saves over 90 minutes of action last week. Schrack made eight saves in the second half against St. Mary's (Md.) on October 8, and followed up with a stellar performance in a 1-0 shutout over The College of Wooster. She turned away all eight shots she faced, including four consecutive saves in a dramatic goalmouth scramble to preserve the win. Schrack posted an impressive .889 save percentage for the week.
Gabrielle O'Brien (Glenmoore, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan) was named to the Atlantic East Field Hockey Weekly Honor Roll after scoring the lone goal in the Mighty Macs' 1-0 Senior Day win over Wooster. Her goal proved to be the game-winner in a tightly contested match.
On the volleyball court, two Mighty Macs were recognized on the Atlantic East Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll:
Mia Esposito (Havertown, Pa. / Haverford High School) earned her second weekly honor of the season after tallying 37 kills across three matches.
