LANCASTER, Pa.- The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly baseball awards on Monday evening. Senior pitcher Jason Hughes, and sophomore outfielder Hunter Weitzel were named to the Atlantic East Conference Baseball Weekly Honor Roll.

Jason Hughes threw his second consecutive seven inning complete game shutout, earning the win for Immaculata over Neumann in the first game of their doubleheader on April 27th allowing five hits, one walk, and had 12 strikeouts.

Hunter Weitzel hit a combined 4-for-10 (.400) with four runs scored, a triple, two RBIs and an assist from the outfield to help Immaculata sweep their Atlantic East Conference weekend series with Neumann. He was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the first game on April 26th. He was 1-for-3 with a triple, a run scored, and two RBIs in game one of the doubleheader on April 27th and was 1-for-3 with a run scored, and had an outfield assist in the eighth inning of game two of the doubleheader.

The Immaculata University baseball team will be back in action on Friday, May 3^rd when they begin an important Atlantic East Conference three game series with Cabrini University.
