Mighty Mac Men Place Sixth At Atlantic East Championships

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa.- The first ever Atlantic East Conference Cross Country Championships took place on a cold and rainy course at Lakeland High School, and the Mighty Mac men placed sixth out of the seven squads with a place total of 135.
 
The men ran an 8K race and Marywood emerged as the first Atlantic East Conference champion.
 
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
-Junior Dominic Zengel was the top finisher for the Mighty Macs for the fifth consecutive race and placed 16th with a time of 33:46.40
-Freshman Frank Masino placed 24th in his first ever conference championship race with a time of 35:46.60
-Freshman James Ruppert came in just behind him in 25th place with a mark of 35:55.30
-Sophomore Joseph Lounsberry finished in 34th with a time of 38:34.90 and senior Michael Wamsher was the final countable runner in 36th place with a time of 39:19.90
-Sophomore Matt Anzideo also ran and finished in 40th with a time of 46:49.00
 
UP NEXT
The Mighty Macs will close their 2018 season with the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, November 10th.
