HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mighty Macs had a 3-1 lead on the Cavaliers in the first set when Cabrini won the next eight points for the 9-3 lead. Immaculata worked its way back into the set pulling within two points (11-9) but five straight points by Cabrini gave the hosts the momentum.
- Immaculata and Cabrini were neck-and-neck in the second set as the teams were tied 8-all. Unfortunately, the Cavaliers won the next three points for an 11-8 lead, and the hosts did not give the lead away.
- It was a one-point set during the early going of the third set as neither team would get more than a two-point rally together. After Immaculata got back to within one (12-11), Cabrini won seven of the next nine points to extend its lead to 19-13, and Immaculata wasn't able to close the gap.
