IMMACULATA, Pa.-Â On a beautiful, sunny April afternoon the Immaculata men's lacrosse team (3-6, 2-0 CSAC) hosted the Moravian College Greyhounds (4-6) in a final non-conference tune up before the Macs enter their final few weeks of conference play battling for a playoff spot. The Greyhounds brought an end to the Mighty Mac three game winning streak by dealing them an 18-7 defeat.

The Macs opened up the scoring early just four and a half minutes into the contest when junior
Mike Reardon scored off an assist from junior
Brian Shultis to give the Macs an early 1-0 advantage. This lead would not last long as the Greyhounds broke through just three minutes later to tie the score at 1-1. The Greyhounds would continue to score scoring again with 6:38 left in the first to give the Hounds the 2-1 lead.

Reardon answered back seconds later off an assist from junior
Tyler Black to make the score 2-2, but the Greyhounds scored one more time with 2:48 left in the quarter to give the Hounds a 3-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Macs answered back to start the second quarter when senior
Doug Hughes broke through with 13:24 left in the half to tie the game 3-3. The Greyhounds then went on a 3-0 run to make the score 6-3. Reardon answered back with his third goal of the day off an assist from Hughes to make the score 6-4 with 3:58 left in the half, but Moravian added another to make it 7-4 at the half.

In the second half it was more of the same as the Greyhounds would open the second half on a 3-0 run to extend their lead to 10-4. The Macs would answer back with 1:05 left in the third when Shultis took an assist from Hughes to cut the deficit to 10-5, but he Greyhounds then went on a 4-0 run lasting into the fourth quarter which extended their lead to 14-5.

Black had two more goals, but Moravian extended their lead and finished off the 18-7 win.

Reardon moved himself into third place all time in goals scored passing Bhelly Bagbonon after tying Bagbonon's record on Saturday. Reardon also passed Dante Tuscai for second in team history in points. Â Black's goal moved him into fifth place in goals scored passing Ben Tuscai.

Denton States worked hard turning in a five save performance in the loss. Hughes led the Macs with 10 ground balls on the day and also took care of business at the faceoff circle winning 11 of 21 faceoffs.

The Macs take to the road for the next week and a half traveling to Marywood on Saturday the 8
th before visiting Gwynedd and Centenary on the 11
th and 19
th. After this road stretch the Macs will return home on April 22
nd when they host Cabrini in a 1 p.m. start, with their senior day game coming on April 26
th against Neumann getting underway at 7 p.m.
