LA PLUME, Pa.- For the fifth consecutive season, the Immaculata women's lacrosse team (9-6, 6-3 CSAC) will host a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Quarterfinal after dominating Keystone (6-7, 4-5 CSAC) in their CSAC finale, 16-1. The Macs scored the final 16 goals of the game in the big victory.

Emily Schumann was outstanding in the win as she had 17 saves, her most in a victory this season.
Nine different Mighty Macs had points on the day led by freshman
Layne Kennedy's seven points on four goals and three assists. Junior
Brittany Whaley had four goals and junior
Hannah Verrecchia had four points on three goals and one assist. Junior
Rosemarie Reitman had three points while junior
Olivia Carter, sophomore
Bailey Krewson, and junior
Nicole Dominick all had one goal and one assist. Senior
Meredith Katona also added a goal.
Krewson led the team with six groundballs and tied Verrecchia and sophomore
Jackie Wood with a team-high three caused turnovers.
Keystone scored the first goal of the game, in what turned out to be their only goal of the contest, just 1:08 into it, but the Mighty Macs quickly tied it on a goal by Verrecchia less than a minute later and the score would hold at 1-1 for 10 minutes.
The Mighty Macs then dominated the next five minutes as they scored six goals to take a commanding lead. Whaley started the scoring with back-to-back goals before Dominick and Verrecchia added tallies. Just 16 seconds later, it was Whaley again and Reitman capped the frantic stretch with a goal as IU now led 7-1.
Kennedy netted her first of the day on a free position before Katona and Carter scored to stake IU to the 10-1 halftime advantage.
Kennedy brought the Macs back from the half with back-to-back goals and IU held that 12-1 lead for a nine minute stretch until Verrecchia scored from Kennedy with 9:06 left in the game. Krewson, Whaley, and Kennedy closed out the scoring and the 16-1 win.
The Macs will match up against No. 5 Notre Dame next Saturday at Draper Walsh Stadium in the CSAC Quarterfinals. Prior to that, IU will close the regular season schedule at Arcadia on Thursday.
