IMMACULATA, Pa.- On a dreary Saturday afternoon the Immaculata men's lacrosse team (3-10, 2-4 CSAC) fell to the # 11 Cabrini University Cavaliers (12-3, 6-0 CSAC) by a score of 26-8.
The Cavaliers got on the board early jumping out to a quick 5-0 lead before the Macs answered back with a goal from junior
Mike Reardon off an assist from senior
Doug Hughes to make the score 5-1. The Cavs would then go on a 4-0 run to close the first quarter of play up 9-1.
The Macs would answer right back in the second quarter when Reardon took an assist from Hughes to make the score 9-2 with 14:21 left in the half. The Cavs would then go on a 2-0 run to stretch the lead to 11-2. The Macs would score one more time with 2:08 left in the half when junior
Tyler Black took an assist from senior Sam Zingaro to make the score 11-3. The Cavs then went on another 3-0 run to end the half to make the score 14-3.
In the third quarter the Macs opened the scoring just about two minutes in when junior
Brian Shultis scored unassisted on a rebound to make the score 14-4. The Cavs would then go on a 3-0 run to extend the lead to 17-4. The Macs would then answer back again when Black took an assist from freshman
Ethan Johnson to make the score 17-5. The Cavs then scored two more goals unanswered to end the third quarter with a 19-5 lead.
In the fourth the Cavs tacked on another seven goals while the Macs would score three of their own with two more goals from Hughes and one more from Zingaro, but it would not be enough to give the Macs the upset.

Denton States worked hard in goal making 17 saves on the day while senior Don Schiffer led the way with five ground balls on the day.
The Macs next game is on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. when they host the Neumann Knights on senior day at Draper Walsh Stadium.
