IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team (8-6, 5-3 CSAC) wrapped up their fifth straight Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) postseason appearance with a 17-5 Senior Night victory over Rosemont (0-11, 0-7 CSAC) at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Junior
Hannah Verrecchia had a big game for IU with a team high seven points on three goals and four assists, followed by freshman
Layne Kennedy with five points on three goals and two assists. Sophomore
Amanda Maher had a strong game with three goals and one assist, and she was joined with four points by junior
Nicole Dominick with one goal and three assists.

Rosemarie Reitman had three points apiece while junior
Brittany Whaley (one goal, one assist), and sophomore
Bailey Krewson (two goals) had two points each. Junior
Olivia Carter added a goal as well.

Verrecchia led the team with three groundballs and three caused turnovers.

The game was scoreless through the first six plus minutes, but it was the Ravens who got on the board first to take the early lead. However, the lead was short lived as the Mighty Macs would rip off 12 straight goals to close out the period and take a 12-1 lead into halftime with assists coming on 10 of them.

Verrecchia was in on five of them, assisting to Krewson to get the scoring started before Katona scored on an assist from Dominick. Verrecchia scored her first of the first half, followed by goals from Whaley and Reitman to make it 5-1 with 16:08 to go in the first half.

Kennedy and Maher then combined for the next five goals, with Maher netting three of them to swell the lead to 10-1 just 2:11 later.

Verrecchia would tack on two more goals on assists from Kennedy and Dominick to make it an 11-goal lead at the break.

Dominick and Krewson opened the scoring in the second half, but the Ravens brought the scoring run to a close with a goal to make it 14-2 with 26 minutes remaining in the contest. After an 11-minute drought, Carter and Kennedy netted goals to extend the lead to its biggest of the night at 16-2.

Rosemont would score three straight, but Katona capped Senior Night with her second goal of the game to put the finishing touches on a 17-5 victory.

The Mighty Macs will close out regular season CSAC play on Saturday as they travel to Keystone where they can lock up a CSAC Quarterfinal home game with a win.
