IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University women's lacrosse started the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) portion of its schedule Saturday hosting Centenary University at Draper Walsh Stadium. The Mighty Macs came away with a 20-3 win against the Cyclones.

Immaculata improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the CSAC, while Centenary fell to 1-4, 1-1 CSAC.

The Mighty Macs had 10 different goal scorers led by
Layne Kennedy with four goals.
Rosemarie Reitman had three goals and two assists, and
Hannah Verrecchia and
Brittany Whaley each scored three goals each.
Meredith Katona also had two goals and two assists.

Nicole Dominick added one goal and one assist, and
Olivia Carter,
Bailey Krewson,
Molly Gallagher and
Nana Huang had one goal apiece.
Jackie Wood recorded one assist for the Mighty Macs.

The Mighty Macs scored the first seven goals of the game for an early lead with 16:59 to play in the first half. Whaley had three goals and Kennedy had two tallies during the opening spurt.

Centenary got on the board with 16:05 remaining in the opening half, but following the visitors goal, Immaculata scored three more goals to extend its lead to 10-1 with just over 10 minutes left in the half.

The Cyclones scored again with 9:52 to play, and the Mighty Macs rattled off four more goals during a 4:12 stretch to lead at halftime, 14-2.

Immaculata continued to control the game in the second half as it outscored Centenary, 6-1.

Verrecchia, Kennedy and
Bridget Polansky each collected four ground balls. Verrecchia had two draw controls, while Polansky caused four turnovers. Krewson and Katona each scooped up three ground balls. Whaley led the team with six draw controls, and Reitman and Gallagher each had two wins.
Emily Schumann made two saves in goal.
