Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Mighty Mac volleyball team (8-11, 6-3 CSAC) travelled to Keystone for a tri-match on Saturday, the first one against Keystone in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matchup that the Macs dropped 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-20), and the second to Pitt-Bradford which the Macs also dropped 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-14).

Senior Arden Vizzard led the way in the opening match with eight kills and 15 digs, while sophomore Olivia Zdradzinski had 14 assists.  In the second match, Vizzard and freshman Sara Desmond had 11 digs each.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Keystone
-The Macs went down 3-0 early but rallied off seven of the next nine points to take a 7-5 lead on a kill by Vizzard.  The Macs would hold the lead up until 12-11 after a Keystone attack error, but that would be their final one of the set as Keystone rattled off five straight to take the lead (16-11).  IU whittled it down to two points at 19-17 after a Vizzard kill, but again Keystone responded to get the lead to 22-17.  IU didn't go quietly, scoring five of the next six to get within one at 23-22, but the Giants put the match away with two points
-The second set featured some large runs to start with Keystone opening 4-0, followed by nine straight by IU to make it 9-4, but the Giants responded with six straight to go up 10-9.  After the score was tied 10-10, the Giants took control of the set by scoring nine of the next 12 to take a 19-13 lead.  Trailing 23-16, the Macs rallied off three straight to make it interesting, but Keystone then put the set away, 25-19
-In the final set, the Macs grabbed a 9-5 lead, but Keystone scored five of the next six to tie it up at 10-10.  The score would be tied still at 14-14 when Keystone then wrestled control of the match and went on to win, 25-20

HOW IT HAPPENED – Pitt-Bradford
-In the first set, the score went back and forth early with neither team able to get an edge as it sat at 7-7.  However, Pitt-Bradford scored seven of eight to surge in front, 14-8.  IU was able to get within three at different points at 16-13, 17-14, and 18-15, but Pitt-Bradford scored the final seven of the set to win 25-15.
-IU played their toughest set in the second one, but were unable to get in front permanently in a 25-19 defeat
-The Macs fell into an early 7-0 hole before grabbing a couple of points, and after trailing 13-8, Pitt-Bradford took a commanding lead with six straight to go up 19-8.  From there, the teams each scored six points and the Macs dropped the set, 25-14
