IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's soccer team (5-6-2, 5-3-0 CSAC) picked up a huge Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory on Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium against Keystone (4-8-1, 3-5-0 CSAC) as they raced out to an early lead and made it stand up in a 3-2 victory over the Giants.

Carley Peacher had two goals and assisted on the other, while freshman
Taylor Bracy scored the first goal of her career in a tightly played game.

The Macs now sit comfortably in fifth place with 15 points and three games remaining.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Macs got off to a great start as they scored on each of their first two opportunities. On the first one, junior
Carrie Quigley served a corner into the box that was headed up in the air by a defender and Peacher was there to head it into the back of the net for a 1-0 Mighty Mac lead just 1:09 into the game
-In the fifth minute, it was Peacher doing the distributing this time as she hit a short cross into the middle that Bracy finished off and the Macs led 2-0
-The play was then even for the next thirty minutes as Keystone attempted to get back in the game, and they cut the lead in half in the 40
th minute with a goal off a defender deflection that went to Jenna Moranski to make it 2-1 at halftime
-The Macs tacked on a critical insurance goal in the 63
rd minute when Peacher sent another cross into the box that hit off a defender into the goal to put the Macs back in front 3-1
-Senior
Allie Tracey was needed a few times in the cage as she made multiple saves on some great Keystone opportunities
-Keystone made it interesting as they scored on a free kick in the 74
th to make it 3-2, but the Macs held on for the big CSAC victory

Zena Tracey: "We knew this was a big game for playoff implications coming in and we couldn't have asked for a better start. The goal in the second half was big in slowing down their momentum and we were able to get a tough win that should hopefully get us playing well down the stretch."
