RADNOR, Pa. - The No. 4 Mighty Mac women's lacrosse team was back in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Semifinals for the fourth consecutive season and travelled to No. 1 Cabrini on Wednesday afternoon seeking their first ever CSAC Championship game appearance, but the Cavaliers jumped in front early and the Macs were never able to recover in a 21-5 season-ending defeat.

Immaculata finished the season at 8-11 overall.

IU sophomore midfielder Hannah Verrecchia set a new Immaculata single season record with her 60th goal of the season with her one goal on the day.  Sophomore Rosemarie Reitman led the Mighty Macs with two goals, while sophomore Brittany Whaley had one goal.  Senior Shannon Neill set a new school record by playing in the 69th game of her career and she also scored a goal in her final collegiate game.

Senior Elizabeth McBride (4-6) made four saves in the loss.

Junior Bridget Polansky had a season-high six groundballs to lead the Mighty Macs.

The Cavaliers scored the first five goals of the game in the opening 3:33 to take a commanding 5-0 lead out of the gates.  Neill broke the streak for Cabrini with her 23rd of the season to make it 5-1.

However, Cabrini would again score five straight to take a 10-1 lead with 14 minutes to go in the first half.  Verrecchia set the new IU single season mark with her 60th at the 11:58 mark, but the Cavaliers again surged, netting four more goals by halftime to take a 14-2 lead into the locker room.

Cabrini didn't stop there with five more goals out of the gates to take a 19-2 lead.  The Mighty Macs scored the next two in a row, the first from Whaley on a spin move, and the second from Reitman to trim the deficit to 19-4 midway through the period.

The Cavaliers added one before Reitman's 28th of the season with 2:23 to go.  Cabrini got the final tally to get to the final of 21-5.
