Box Score BALTIMORE, Md.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team (5-6) improved their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) mark to 4-1 with a tight 14-13 victory over Notre Dame (2-6, 1-3 CSAC) on the road on Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore
Hannah Verrecchia had a big game with six goals, and sophomore
Nicole Dominick had four goals. Senior
Shannon Neill had three points on two goals and one assist, and sophomore
Brittany Whaley had two points on one goal and one assist. Sophomore
Olivia Carter had her first goal of the season as well. Freshman
Bailey Krewson had five groundballs to lead the team.

Elizabeth McBride earned the first win of her career in the cage with nine saves.

The Mighty Macs never trailed in the game, but there were four ties, the last of which came with the score knotted 12-12 with 10:31 to go.

The Macs would control the next minute of play to take a critical two-goal lead as Dominick scored a free position shot, and Verrecchia scored her 33
rd of the year from Whaley just 46 seconds later to build the lead back up to 14-12. The Gators cut the deficit in half with 23 seconds to go, but the Macs would hold on for the victory.

Immaculata led 9-7 at the half, but Notre Dame scored first out of the gates to make it a one goal game. Carter then netted her first of the year, however the Gators responded to make it 10-9 with 20 minutes remaining. Dominick and Neill scored to extend the advantage to three goals at 12-9, their largest of the game, but the Gators scored three straight over a five minute stretch to tie the game at 12-12.

In the first half, Verrecchia scored five of the nine goals.

Immaculata will go back to non-conference play on Saturday with an 11 a.m. trip to Eastern.
