Box Score READING, Pa.- The Mighty Macs (13-7) used eight different pitchers, one for each inning, and held the Lions to just four hits in the win and struck out 11 hitters.? In the last three games, the Mighty Mac pitching staff has allowed just one run in 26 innings.The Immaculata baseball team rolled to their ninth straight victory, the longest winning streak since 2011, and their second shutout in three games with an 8-0 victory over Albright (3-13) in an eight inning non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon.
On offense, the Macs churned out eight hits, led by two from senior shortstop

Immaculata grabbed the lead quickly again as junior left fielder
Jason McCormick (1-for-3, R, BB, HBP, SB) singled, stole second, and moved to third on a groundout.? Ficca then delivered an RBI single to center field for the 1-0 lead.?

Dan Whalen (3-1), who got credit for the win, worked a scoreless first with two strikeouts and two hits allowed.

Kenny Anderson worked a 1-2-3 third inning with one strikeout.
IU extended their lead in the fourth with two unearned runs.? After the first two hitters were retired, junior catcher
Ryan Tecco reached on an error before junior right fielder
Howie Kalamets (1-for-2, 2 R, RBI, HBP, BB, SB) walked, and they both moved to scoring position on a wild pitch.? Dempsey then delivered a big two-run single to stake the Macs to a 3-0 lead through three and a half innings.? Sophomore
Collin Stringham had a great shutdown inning with a 1-2-3 frame and two strikeouts.

Trevor O'Brien put together a scoreless frame in the fifth, and the Macs added on in the top of the sixth.? After junior designated hitter

Coleman Richards came on to pinch run and stole second before moving to third on a sacrifice bunt by Tecco.? He came around to score on a catcher's throwing error, and Dempsey got his second RBI single of the game with a ground ball through the left side to score Kalamets and give IU a 5-0 lead.
Junior
Kyle Bacher delivered a perfect sixth, and the Macs added another on an RBI single by Kalamets in the seventh.? Sophomore pinch runner Adam Conner scored on a catcher's throwing error to extend the advantage to 7-0.

Ryan Blough had a 1-2-3 seventh, and IU got their final run of the game on an RBI single by senior first baseman
Mike Lascomb (1-for-5, RBI).? Senior
Nick Campione came on in the eighth and the Lions loaded the bases with nobody out, but the senior reliever got two strikeouts and a fielder's choice to preserve the shutout.
The game was called after the eighth due to darkness.
The Mighty Macs will go back into CSAC play on Friday when they host Centenary at 3 p.m.
