Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata men's lacrosse had its home opener spoiled by Wesley as the visiting Wolverines defeated the Mighty Macs, 12-10, Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium in non-conference action.

The Mighty Macs (0-2) scored three-straight goals to begin the fourth quarter and get the home crowd excited for a comeback.
Tyler Black started the scoring with 9:25 to go on an assist from
Christian Fisher. Immaculata then scored two man-up goals as the penalty was expiring as
Brendan Doyle scored from
Samuel Zingaro, and one minute later Black scored off a pass from
Mike Reardon to make it a two-goal Wesley lead, 11-9.

Wesley (1-2) had a quick strike one minute later to push its lead to 12-9. Immaculata scored once more at the 3:19 mark as Zingaro buried the pass from Fisher, but that would be all the scoring.

Black led the way for the Mighty Macs with four goals and one assist while collecting three ground balls and causing one turnover. Zingaro also had five points with one goal and four assists. Fisher finished with one goal and two assists. Doyle and Reardon each tallied one goal and one assist, and
Brian Shultis and
Jonathan Kopistecki recorded one goal apiece.

Kyle Roche scooped up a team-high five ground ball, while Shultis had four ground balls.
John Abruzzo and
Jake Kemble joined Black with three ground balls, and both Abruzzo and Kemble caused two Wesley turnovers.

The Wolverines scored two goals during the first two minutes of the game for the early edge. The Mighty Macs later responded with three consecutive scores to take a 3-2 lead with 4:44 to play in the first quarter. However, Wesley scored two goals just five seconds apart, and led 4-3 at the end of the first quarter.

Immaculata tied the game at 4-4 on a goal by Black just 1:49 into the second quarter, but Wesley was quick to react with two goals. The Mighty Macs ended the first half scoring at the 7:06 mark by Kopistecki, and again with 1:24 to play by Fisher to tie the game at halftime, 6-6.

Wesley took control of the third quarter scoring five goals to lead 11-6.
