IMMACULATA, Pa.-On a beautiful Saturday afternoon the Immaculata men's soccer team (12-5-1, 7-2 CSAC) hosted the Marywood University Pacers (5-10-1, 3-5-1 CSAC), the Macs would go on to win by a final score of 2-1 on a late goal by freshman
Nick Boule. With today's victory the Macs have broken the program record for most conference wins in a season surpassing last year's mark of six, and they also locked up the No. 2 seed in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) postseason, which guarantees them a bye into the CSAC Semifinals.

Before the game today the Macs honored their 13 seniors
Billy Hegarty,
Joe Lubonski,
Matt Dunn,
Pat Friend,
Brandon Ilagan,
Kyle Jumalon,
Luke Santoni,
Alec Schuler,
Stephen Smith,
Jake Minnich,
Cory Burkhart,
Shane Morales, and
Gabe Dwyer. This game was the last game of the regular season and a pivotal matchup to determine seeding for the CSAC playoffs beginning next week.

In the first half the play was fairly even as neither side really dominated the possession. The Macs struck first in the 12
th minute when senior
Kyle Jumalon headed home a pass from sophomore
Mark Staudenmayer to give the Macs an early 1-0 lead. The Pacers would answer right back in 22
nd minute when senior Matthew Hull scored on a header of his own off a free kick from Nick Dyer to make the score 1-1. The Pacers continued to threaten the remainder of the second half but senior goalie
Joe Lubonski stood tall and made four saves to keep the Macs in the game. His counterpart senior Patrick Brogan made three saves of his own to hold off the Macs high powered attack.

In the second half the Macs applied constant pressure to the Pacers forcing Brogan to work hard making nine saves on the day. The Macs offense would break through for the eventual game winner in the 84
th minute when Boule got an assist from sophomore
Alex Noel to give the Macs a 2-1 lead. Lubonski and company managed to stop the Pacers chances making nine saves on the day to preserve the win.

This was the Macs last regular season game and they begin the CSAC playoffs at home in a semifinal on Thursday night at 7 p.m. against an opponent to be determined.
