ROSEMONT, Pa.- In need of a victory to halt a two-game losing skid, the Mighty Macs picked up a huge 2-0 win over Rosemont (3-11, 3-5 CSAC) to improve to 5-3 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play and 5-9 overall.

IU dominated for much of the contest, as they outshot the Ravens 20-4, and had six corners to just two for Rosemont. Senior
Erica Buckley picked up the first goal and sophomore
Morgan McDonough scored the second goal to give the Macs some breathing room.

Allie Tracey locked down the first shutout of her career with three saves in the cage and freshman
Courtney Stinger led the squad with five shots.

In the first half, the Mighty Macs had plenty of chances as they dominated possession and outshot the Ravens 10-3, but were unable to break through in a scoreless first half.

After the break, the Macs were able to get on the board as Buckley took a cross from the left side from McDonough and buried it in the 62
nd minute for a 1-0 lead. IU picked up a huge insurance goal in the 70
th minute as sophomore
Carrie Quigley hit a through ball to McDonough who hit it over the keeper for a 2-0 advantage.

The Macs would hold on from there and claim the 2-0 victory.

Immaculata will now head to Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for another pivotal CSAC matchup.
