Box Score

ROSEMONT, Pa. - The first half proved the difference for Immaculata women's basketball Wednesday evening as the visiting Mighty Macs were unable to overcome a 10-point halftime deficit as they fell 67-57 at Rosemont College.

The Ravens (7-9, 3-4 Colonial States Athletic Conference) outscored the Mighty Macs by five points in each of the first two periods to lead at intermission, 34-24.

Reilly Larkin led the team with a game-high 21 points while adding five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Dia Veneziano and Tamyra Laws each chipped in 11 points. Theresa Walsh finished with eight points and six rebounds, while Mamako Johnson came down with seven rebounds.

Immaculata (3-13, 3-4 CSAC) took the lead early in the game but six-straight points by Rosemont gave the hosts a five-point edge (11-6) with 3:36 to play in the opening period. The Mighty Macs tied the game at 12-all just inside two minutes to go after sinking four free throws and a jumper from Veneziano. The Ravens came back with a 3-pointer and a layup at the buzzer to lead 17-12.

Immaculata was able to stay within three points of Rosemont for much of the second period. Walsh's layup with 3:42 to go in the second period trimmed the Ravens' lead back to three (23-20). Rosemont finished the second period on an 11-4 spurt, and took its largest advantage to that point into the halftime locker room.

The Mighty Macs climbed right back into the contest during the first five minutes of the second half outscoring the Ravens, 11-3. Larkin successfully completed a three-point play to put Immaculata within two, 37-35, at the 5:17 mark of the third period. Larkin had five points and Laws four during the opening run.

Larkin then nailed a three as the Mighty Macs were within one (39-38) of the Ravens with 3:47 remaining in the third period, and following a bucket from Rosemont, Veneziano answered to trim the visitors deficit to one point again. However, Rosemont was 4-for-7 from the field during the final three minutes as it rebuilt its lead to 50-43 with 10 minutes to play.

The Ravens took a 58-43 lead as they began the fourth period on an 8-0 run during the first four minutes of the frame. Rosemont further extended its advantage to 17 (65-48) with 3:23 remaining in the game.
