Box Score 2 IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University softball swept Rosemont College in the final games of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) regular season, 3-0 and 8-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs' two wins also clinched the fourth seed in the upcoming CSAC Tournament. Immaculata will host fifth-seed Marywood University on Wednesday, April 29, at 4 p.m. in a single-elimination first round contest at the IU Softball Field.

In the opener, Immaculata (16-16, 16-6 CSAC) took a few innings to get on the scoreboard before it scored twice in the fourth inning.
Lauren Penn singled up the middle and came around to score two batters later as
Paige Hughes singled into right field, and Rosemont's outfielder made an error on the throw to third allowing Penn to score. Hughes then scored on
Christiana Donofry's double into left center.

The Mighty Macs added one more run in the fifth as
Melissa Ejk led the inning off with a double, and
Caitlyn Hudock had a RBI single down the left field line.

Caitlin Brasier (9-10) picked up the win going all seven innings for her second shutout of the season. She allowed just four hits, struck out four and walked one.

Hudock and Penn each had two hits as the Mighty Macs scattered seven hits in the game.

Immaculata broke open the second game with two runs in the second and a six-run inning in the third. Both Mighty Mac runs in the second were unearned as
Annemarie Bartow reached on an error to start the inning. Bartow eventually scored Immaculata's first run on Penn's ground-ball out, and Donofry walked with the bases loaded to score
Meghan Kugler, who got on with a single up the middle.

In the third, Immaculata had two runners on following a Rosemont error and a hit by pitch to start the inning. After Hudock bunted the runners to second and third, Kugler hit a single to score Ejk and make it 3-0. Penn then singled to score Bartow and push the lead to 4-0.
Tabitha Mulholland then had a bunt single to third to load the bases, and
Paige Murphy walked for the 5-0 lead. Donofry singled through the left side plating two runs, and another bases-loaded walk, this time by Bartow, scored the eighth run for the Mighty Macs.

Kugler led the team with two hits and one RBI during the second game to help herself out. She also tossed the shutout for the Mighty Macs as she only allowed three hits and struck out five.

Donofry picked up three RBIs on one hit and one walk.

Immaculata finishes the regular season on Monday traveling to Ursinus for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
