IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata softball saw positive results in their first year under new head coach
Alexa Peterson.
The Mighty Macs went 13-23 (5-7 AEC) in 2026 and fell just short of an Atlantic East Conference playoff spot in. Immaculata will look to bounce back in 2027.
THE SCHEDULE
The Mighty Macs began their 2026 campaign with eight games in Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. They went 4-4 in that stretch, with wins over NJCU, Bridgewater State, Lycoming, and Thiel. Immaculata ended the month with a conference split against Marywood and a competitive series with Eastern, who was receiving votes in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Top 25 poll at the time.
Immaculata began April with a split with Centenary (N.J.). The second game was a Mighty Macs win on a walk-off wild pitch. The team struggled for a few series until a crucial sweep over Gwynedd Mercy. In the final doubleheader of the regular season, the Mighty Macs won the second game versus Marymount. A
Rylee Martin two-run go-ahead home run propelled Immaculata and gave Marymount their only regular-season conference loss.
Despite tying Saint Elizabeth in the conference standings, Immaculata did not qualify for the postseason. However, the team's future is bright, led by freshmen pitchers
Sara Pierson and
Jessica Vido, as well as hitters
Alexis Andrada and
Jamie Green.
