IMMACULATA, Pa. – Senior
Rylee Martin hit a pinch-hit two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Immaculata ahead to stay 5-4, as they earned a split in their AEC doubleheader with Marymount on Friday. Marymount won the opener, 9-4.
Friday was senior day for the Immaculata softball team as the honored seniors

Emma Pinto were honored before today's doubleheader.
With the split, Immaculata moves to 13-23 overall, and they finish the regular season 5-7 in Atlantic East Conference play. Marymount moves to 21-17 overall, and they finish the regular season 11-1 in AEC play.
Game One: Marymount 9, Immaculata 4
Marymount jumped out quickly, plating three runs in the first and extending the lead to 7-2 through three innings. Despite the early deficit, Immaculata continued to compete and produced solid offensive moments throughout the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MARYMOUNT IN GAME ONE
- Marymount wasted little time opening a 3-0 lead in the top of the first.
- Immaculata got a pair of runs back in the second inning when Alexis Andrada singled, and the ball was misplayed by the right fielder, allowing Carlee Karcher, who led off with a single, to score. Emma Pinto followed with an RBI single to cut the lead to 3-2.
- Marymount added four runs in the top of the third to extend their lead to 7-2.
- Immaculata got a run back in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by Karcher.
- Marymount upped the lead to 9-3 with solo runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
- Immaculata added a run in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by Karcher.

Game Two: Immaculata 5, Marymount 4
Immaculata responded in a big way in the second game, using timely hitting and lockdown relief pitching to secure a comeback victory and hand Marymount their only conference loss of the season.
Trailing 4-2 after four innings, the Macs chipped away before taking the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth on Martin's pinch-hit home run.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MARYMOUNT IN GAME TWO
- Marymount scored single runs in the first and second innings to take an early 2-0 lead.
- Immaculata got one run back in the bottom of the second inning, when Emma Pinto singled to center field to score Alexis Andrada to cut the Saints' lead to 2-1.
- Immaculata tied the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning.
- Marymount responded in the top of the fourth inning with a two-run double to re-take the lead 4-2.
- Immaculata got a run back in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Madison Formica put down a perfect squeeze bunt to score Natalie Tassoni to cut Marymount's lead to 3-2.
- Alexis Andrada led off the bottom of the sixth with a single to center field. Rylee Martin came up to pinch hit and hit a two-run home run to center field to put Immaculata ahead to stay 5-4.
- Marymount loaded the bases in the top of the seventh inning, with nobody out. Sara Pierson induced a pair of infield popouts and a flyout to center field to close out the 5-4 victory for the Mighty Macs.
