Box Score RADNOR, Pa.- The Immaculata women's lacrosse team travelled to first place Cabrini on Wednesday evening looking to win their third consecutive game, but Cabrini (7-5, 5-0 CSAC) scored 13 of the first 14 goals to build an insurmountable lead as the Mighty Macs (5-5, 3-2 CSAC) fell by a score of 18-6.

Kelly Lapp led the way with three goals for IU while senior
Alyssa Petito had two, and senior
Danielle Lopez added one. Lapp also added an assist, and senior
Sam Bonvetti had a team-high two assists. Sophomore defender
Bridget Polansky collected a career-high six groundballs for the Macs.

The Cavaliers scored the first three goals to take a 3-0 lead in the first seven minutes of the game, but Petito scored her eighth of the season on a helper from Lapp to make it 3-1, 8:37 into the first half. That's when the Cavaliers started a 10-0 run that kept the Mighty Macs off the scoreboard for just over 21 minutes, which put the game out of reach.

Shannon Neill with 21 seconds to go in the first half to send the teams to the locker room with IU trailing 13-2.

In the second half, Cabrini scored the first three goals to swell their lead to 16-2, but the Macs would score four of the final six goals of the contest to get to the final of 18-6.

Petito and Lapp scored less than three minutes apart to cut the gap to 16-4. Following a Cabrini goal, Lapp scored her 32
nd of the year and Lopez added her 21
st of the year 1:26 apart to cap the IU scoring for the evening.

The Mighty Macs will now be off for the Easter break, but will return home on Thursday, April 9
th to host Centenary in a CSAC matchup.
