Box Score 2 CHESTER, Pa. – Immaculata University's softball team dropped both ends of a non-conference twinbill at Widener University Tuesday afternoon. The Mighty Macs fell in the opener to the Pride, 5-3, and were defeated, 8-0, in six innings in the nightcap.

The Mighty Macs struck quickly in the first game as
Annemarie Bartow hit a two-run homerun after
Kathleen Devaney had a bunt single to get on-base. Immaculata continued to lead until Widener posted four runs in the fourth inning, including a three-run homer.

Each team plated one run in the sixth to finish the scoring.
Melissa Ejk walked to start the top half of the inning for the Mighty Macs, and Bartow had a double to left field and
Angelina Welch, who came in to pinch run, scored on a throwing error on the play.

Caitlin Brasier pitched six innings allowing seven hits and four earned runs.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Pride scored two runs in the first and third innings, and then added three more in the fifth and one in the sixth before the game ended.

Christiana Donofry led the Mighty Macs with two hits in the second game. Â

Meghan Kugler started and tossed the first four innings giving up six hits and four runs, three earned runs.
Lexie Diaz pitched the final 1.1 innings giving up four runs, two earned, on three hits.

Immaculata falls to 2-10 overall this season.

The Mighty Macs will host Cabrini in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tilt tomorrow afternoon beginning at 3 p.m.
