Mighty Macs Storm Past Rosemont, 22-9

IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata University women's lacrosse earned a 22-9 victory over Rosemont College in Colonial States AthleticConference action on Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs improve to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the CSAC.

Senior Danielle Lopez amssed a game-high five goals and added three assists, while freshman Hannah Verrecchia recorded four goals. Junior Kelly Lapp accumulated three goals and three assists, as both senior Alyssa Petito and junior Shannon Neill registered three goals, apiece. Junior Allison Jakavick and freshman Rosemarie Retiman finished the scoring for Immaculata with two goals each. Jackavick also added a game-high five assists.

The Mighty Macs jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead within the first five minutes of the opening half. Immaculata cruised to a 13-4 haltime lead. Rosemont (2-3, 1-2) pulled to within 14-6 with 25:33 left in the second half. But Immaculata scored the next four goals to post an 18-6 lead with 19:09 left, en route to the 22-9 win.

Nicole Goodwin tallied a team-high four goals for the Ravens, while Kerry Hars and Powell Davis added two apiece in the loss.

The Mighy Macs will return to action on Wendnesday, April 1, when they travel to face Cabrini College. Face-off is set for 6:30pm.
